I recently became a friend of Stucchi’s Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt on Facebook, and until I got the friend request, I didn’t even know we had a Stucchi’s in Dearborn. We do, and it’s located at 1338 N Telegraph, just south of Ford Road.
In the past, I’ve had to drive out to Ann Arbor to get a taste of Stucchi’s ice cream—and it’s been totally worth it—but now it’s great to know that I can enjoy it without having to even leave the Dearborn city limits. Stucchi’s has been open in Dearborn for about a year, and because of the cooler-than-average summer we had, ice cream business was a bit off. And with winter fast approaching, the owners decided to start offering something besides ice cream to lure customers in.
And lure me in, they did.
I noticed on my Facebook feed yesterday (if this isn’t a testament to the power of social media, I don’t know what is) that Stucchi’s of Dearborn is “Now Serving Gourmet Cheesecakes!” So I figured I had to get myself over there ASAP and get me some of that.
So I did, and it was well worth the short drive across town. The cheesecakes are made locally, and are offered by the slice for 3 bucks. The day I went in, the slices were available in four flavors: plain, strawberry, caramel apple, and pumpkin. I had the caramel apple, and it was everything I like in a gourmet flavored cheesecake: moist and crumbly, and not overwhelmed by the caramel or apple flavors. In short: I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon sugar rush. Thank you Facebook.
Soon, they’ll be offering whole pies, and when that happens, I imagine that’ll keep this ice cream joint hopping through the cold winter months.

I've only had their ice cream & I liked it but my friend did not...being a Basin Robbins or Coldstone only guy he claimed they didn't compare but my empty sundae cup proved that to me, ice cream is ice cream & I just want to eat it. I don't like cheesecake so I won't be getting any but if they are going to have pie I'm totally in!!

Love Stucchi's, but I don't think they have cheesecake anymore. I was in there a couple weeks ago and didn't see them, unless I just missed them cuz I wasn't looking for them.

I don't know about cheesecake, but their ice cream is enough to make me step over my kids!
