I keep hearing how other parts of the country (midwest, Chicago, Baltimore, DC, NY, etc) are getting these huge freaking snow falls this year, but it seems like SE Michigan just keeps dodging the bullet so to speak. Last year we just kept on getting hit with one storm after another.

But this year, it's almost mid-February, and I guess I just would like to have one REALLY BIG SNOWSTORM with all the local news people going all ape-shit red-alert on our asses, and people not able to go to work for two days, and schools shut down for a half week, and power outages, and...well, you get the picture. I'd like a storm that we'll be talking about for the next decade. Or at the very least, a good foot of the white stuff would be nice.

Am I the only one? Beuller?

Um if we didn't see another flake I'd be cool with that.  The last thing I want to do is waste vacation days because the roads are too bad to drive to work.  My parents live in TN & they keep getting snow & cold & the lake they live on froze which it hasn't done since the 70's & I just keep making fun of them because they moved down there to get away from it!  Just so long as we don't get a storm the 25th or 26th I'm good...if I am not able to get to FL due to weather when we have had such an awesome winter I'll be pissed!

We got one storm & I think that is plenty!

Yeah, I actually feel sorry for the parts of the country that keep getting hit with it this year. But...I still am kinda jealous, and would just like one big ol' storm. Just one. Big ol' storm. Lay it on us, God. Big, heavy, fat, 24-hours of snow fall.

That one that we had last month just ain't gonna cut it for me.

I wouldn't mind a "big one." As long as I don't need to be anyplace special, and I can just hibernate in front of the TV.

I hear Baltimore and DC are supposed to get more than 2 feet of snow in the next 24 hours. Holy shit that's insane!

yeah i could dig some snow (pun intended). no one's ever going to accuse me of being a fan of winter, but there's something exciting about getting dumped on and being snowed in. it does seem like every region around us is getting hit, but not us. i've got friends in indiana who said it really snowed yesterday, and of course, the east coast is getting their second huge storm of the year.

Bring it on! As long as I don't have to shovel, it can snow three feet for all I care. Oh as long as I don't lose power. That would not be good.

well the more I think about it, sure I don't really care if it snows a ton here. I'd just end up staying inside and playing video games and sleeping. And that doesn't really sound much different than a normal day for me anyway. Plus if it gets me out of going to work for a day or 2......awesome! I just hate shovling that crapola. lol

Yeah so the east coast is totally snowed in. I imagine we'll get one before the winter is over, so I wouldn't worry about them having all the fun out there.

Well just maybe if the weathermen are right we should have snow on Tuesday into Wed.  So far I have heard from 3 to 6" or maybe more.  But remember that's still a couple of days from now and as wrong as they have been all year maybe we will end up with a dusting.

Now I'm hearing 10-12 inches Tues/Wed so now I have to pack a bag to bring to work so if it snows a ton before 5 I can check into the hotel across the street rather than risk my life attempting to drive home.  If we get 10 inches after 5 & I have to waste a vacation day I'll be bummed but I'm sure I'd also make good use of a day of nothing!

Ok, I wrote this in early February. It's now late March. I want to go on record that I don't want it to really really snow here anymore.

So let the Springing commence. Beuller? Beuller?
